Ordained in 1995 as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, Rev. Wray has served in Jamaica prior to joining Savannah United. He has a Masters in Theology from the Presbyterian College of the Theological Seminary, Seoul, South Korea and a Bachelor of Arts, Theology from the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica.
A Seminary and Music School graduate, Noel has been with us since 2002. Prior to ministry at Savannah, he served as Executive Assistant with the Bible Society of the West Indies, as a Music Teacher in Seminary and High School, as well as Music Director in several churches. His passion for choral music is evidenced in the choirs he has led. Noel and Sonia have two children, Elysia and Dean-Paul.
Since surrendering his life to Christ in 2008, Richard has been an active Youth leader. He serves on the Savannah Primary PTA and Newland Heights Residents Association. He was a Young Caymanian Leadership Award finalist in 2011. Richard likes to travel as well as watch and read educational material. He was previously employed in banking, is married to Theresa and proud father of Aliyah and Amar.
Grace is a teacher by profession with additional training in Counseling, Supervisory and Human Resource Management. She works with the Frances Bodden Children's Home. Grace tells that since she came to know Christ, the walk has not always been easy but her commitment is to live by faith. She is one of the Savannah's representatives to the Cayman Regional Mission Council [United Church].
At Savannah, the definition of 'Marisa' is 'ever ready, ever energetic and ever faithful'! Marisa grew up in the Church and committed to Christ early in life. She has been an ever-present face in all ministries of the Church, especially those geared to Children. Now retired from banking, she has more time for her granddaughter.
A programme facilitator, lecturer, Citizens Association president & Scouting activist, Brenda lives by her mantra, "make a difference wherever you are". She received the Jim Bodden Award for volunteerism in 2003 and the Pioneer in Youth Services Award in 2013. She moved to Cayman 20 years ago and replanted her roots in the United Church at Savannah where she takes pleasure in greetin
Billy has attended Savannah since 2002 but became a member in 2005, after his baptism. Although he “grew up in church,” he sees his walk with Christ as commencing in 2004. He associates the turning point in his life with a sermon by Rev. Donovan entitled “Get Up, Put Up, Walk Up.” Billy is an educator. He is is married and the father of two boys.
Ian is an active member of the choir, Men's Fellowship and Sunday School team. An educator and a 'fix-it' enthusiast, he and his wife, Kimia, have two exciting sons.
An outcome oriented professional with over 25 years experience in strategic planning, marketing communications, change management and leadership development. Angela is very culture aware and is an intuitive Facilitator. She hosts a Life Group of young adult women and is grateful for the embracing space which Savannah provides as she lives out her Faith and does Justice wherever God leads her.
Diane is multifaceted and deeply spiritual. She is especially passionate about her ministry to children and leading them to Christ. With her stalwart background in Education and Leadership, she is an asset to our team. Diane and Alfredo have three children.
Joan brings her 'Agriculturist mind' to bear in growing relationships in the Church. She finds time to serve between her busy work travel schedule.
Suzzette accepted Christ in high school but recommitted her life in 1997 and became an active part of the Savannah family. She serves in youth and music ministries [Girls Brigade, Sunday School, Youth Fellowship, Choir]. A former Physiotherapist and Church Administrator, she is now a Vocational Coordinator for adults with disabilities. Sue is married with two children.
With training in Education, Theology, Social Work, Criminal Justice and Human Resource Management, Sonia is a dedicated Christian and Civil Servant. Although passionate about every area of her faith, she is devoted to the ministries of intercession and Bible teaching. She is an active part of our Choir, Prayer, Evangelism and Sunday School ministries. Sonia shares life and two children with Noel.
Herman came to Savannah in 1975 and had a conversion experience over 15 years ago. He answered the call to be a Sunday School teacher, and over the years has developed a passion for expositing the truths of the Scripture. His quest is to know his Lord & Saviour better each day. One ministry he enjoys is helping students with their mathematics. He is a husband, father and proud granddad of four.
Colleen comes to us at Savannah with a wealth of experience in banking, business management, photography and the newspaper business. She is a native of Canada but lived in Jamaica before coming to Cayman in the 1970's. After a stint back in Canada, she and Andy are now back 'home' for over twenty years part of our Church family for over six years. She enjoys good music and travelling.
Francisco is one of the most valuable members of our team who has transformed the care of our property. This 'Jack of all trades' has worked in his native Philippines, Hong Kong and Cayman. He is an active usher who truly displays joy in service. Francisco and his wife, Marisa, have two teenagers.
